hydration of the horny cells and allows their removal by washing.
Sulphex I is commonly used to ensure that the scalp is in optimum
condition prior to the use of other treatments such as stimulants,
or as a mild scalp treatment when the hair itself is undergoing
intensive conditioning. Contains olive oil, sunflower oil and lanolin
to moisture the hair and scalp during treatment.
Active ingredients: Sulphur 3%, Salicylic acid 3%.

I this cream is rich in olive oil, sunflower oil and lanolin.

 |
Tycin Scalp Cream |
| Treatment for: Alopecia areata, or where stimulation
is required. |
| |
|
This scalp cream has a highly stimulating effect on both the scalp
tissues and the hair. Within a few minutes of the cream being applied
a marked vasodilation of the scalp is noticed, this increase in
blood supply results in an increase in the skin's metabolism. Quite
often this 'stimulation' triggers dormant follicles into anagen,
and so can be effective on alopecias, particularly alopecia aerata.
The redness will subside within one hour.
Active ingredients: Methyl Nictotinate, Nettle Extract.
Contraindications: Scaling conditions.
|
| |
|
 |
Tycin Lotion |
| Treatment for: Alopecia |
| |
|

the problem and the degree of stimulation required. It can be applied
by the client at any time provided that the hair is not washed within
half an hour.
Active ingredients: Methyl Nictotinate, Nettle Extract.
Contraindications: Scaling conditions.
Note: Clients should be informed about the temporary redness caused
to the skin by this treatment.

Estranol Lotion |
| Treatment for: Androgenic alopecia |
| |
|
This is a highly effective treatment for androgenic hairloss when
used daily, but unlike Estramide scalp cream, which is aimed at
clinic use, Estranol is simple to apply at home. The lotion may
be used at any time but the best results are usually seen when it
is applied to the scalp at night, just before bed. Estranol also
contains Methyl Nicotinate which will induce a vasodilatory effect
on the scalp, this will fade within one hour.
Active ingredients: Estradiol, Methyl Nicotinate
Contraindications: Not to be used on children.

Hair Loss Treatments
 |
Estramide Scalp Cream |
| Treatment for: Androgenic alopecia |
| |
|
Estramide is a low level Oestrogen scalp cream for the treatment
of androgenic alopecia. Its degree of success at reducing, stopping
or reversing androgenic hairloss being largely dependent on the
age of the client and the gentic predisposition of that person.
In a young man with a strong tendency to gentic hairloss the rate
of loss may be reduced but not stopped. In a person with a less
marked genetic tendency regular treatments wit hthe cream and the
daily application of Estranol usually supresses and controls androgenic
hairloss, and can increase the quantity and quality of hair growth,
The cream will cause a vasodilatory effect for approximately one
hour.
Active ingredients: Estradiol, Menthyl Nicotinate, Salicylic Acid.
Contraindications: Not to be used on children.

XP15 Hair Loss Treatment Shampoo
|
| Treatment for: alopecia (hair loss) |
| |
|
Research by scientists at the Department of Dertmatopathology,
University of Liege in Belgium have recently published a paper showing
that when certain anti-microbial substances, traditionally used
to treat dandruff, are incorporated into a shampoo at elevated levels
they have a marked effect in the prevention of male pattern hair
loss.
When the most effective of these substances, Piroctone Olamine,
is incorporated into appropriate shampoo base and used 2-3 times
per week there is a reduction in hair loss by 16.5% and an increase
in the percentage of hairs in the anagen (growing phase) by 7.9%.
Note: A reduction of hair shedding by 16.5% and an increase of
7.9% more hair in the anagen, the growing phase f the hair cycle,
means that there is a total increase of 24.4% of scalp hair per
sq. cm at any given time.
The study also shows that the shampoo increases the hair shaft
diameter by 7.7% and reduces the quantity of sebum on the surface
of the scalp.
Note: An increase in hair shaft diameter of 7.7% can make a significant
difference to the overall appearance of the hair. Also, the reduction
in sebum secretion is important as sebum contains dihydrotestosterone
(DHT), the hormone which causes the hair loss. Elevated levels of
DHT on the scalp are known to exacerbate hair loss when this is
allowed to accumulate in the scalp tissue and double back down the
follicles to the dermal papilla (the root of the hair).
A.M. Hair Preparations has developed and tested a shampoo (XP15)
which not only contains the most effective active ingredients used
in the medical study but also added ingredients which enhance the
penetration and action of these substances.
XP15 shampoo also has excellent anti-dandruff properties and will
ensure the scalp in optimum condition for hair growth.

XP20 Hair Loss Treatment Lotion |
| Treatment for: alopecia (hair loss) |
| |
|
In addition to the shampoo, we have developed a topically applied
scalp lotion which, because it is more concentrated than the shampoo,
greatly enhances the overall effectiveness of the treatment. The
total improvement in hair loss prevention seen in clinical tests
when the lotion is used with the shampoo is in the region of 37%
(as opposed to 24.4% when only the shampoo is used).
The active ingredients in the XP20 are much the same as those in
the shampoo but because the delivery system is very much more effective,
and because a higher level of active substances are left on the
scalp until the hair is next washed, the benefits of using the lotion
in conjunction with the shampoo are clear.
XP20 lotion also contains the anti-oxidant, menthol, and stinging
nettle extract which has natural antiseptic and vasodilatory properties.
The lotion should be applied the the (dry) scalp daily and left
on.
The lotion is flammable and should be kept away from an open flame.

Nutramine Lotion |
| Treatment for: Androgenic Aloppecia |
| |
| This treatment lotion is becoming increasingly popular
because of the positive effect it has on androgenic hairloss. |
| |
|
The lotion is based on an extract of the hop plant which appears
to be a strong inhibitor of Dihydrotestosterone in the dermal papilla,
and to frequently increase hair cell proliferation, resulting in
a stabilisation of the condition. It is applied to the thinning
region of the scalp daily. The 60ml scalp sprays, which is two months
supply, is a convenient method of application.
Active ingredients: Hop Extract, Clove Extract, Nettle Extract,
Camphor.
Contraindications: Not to be used on children. Flammable Solution.
